GEMZ — WET - 2025

The 'Horny' project is exhibited at the conclusion of the GemZ – Talent Accelerator Programme, led by Current Obsession, in Rotterdam as part of OBSESSED! Jewellery Festival 2025.

Are you obsessed with jewellery? So are we! For the 2025 edition of the OBSESSED! festival, the theme, Glow-Up, celebrates the power of transformation, both inner and outer, through the ritual of adornment. Whether subtle or bold, permanent or ephemeral, jewelry has long been a means of expressing the care we give to ourselves and others, symbolizing growth, change, and personal fulfillment.

An edition accompanies the GEMZ: WET exhibition under the artistic direction of Min Dai, whose tools – constructed photography and artificial intelligence – evoke dreamlike landscapes where ornaments shimmer like skin after rain, merging into new forms of existence. Created from the artistic practices of GEMZ talents, each tracing fluid lines between intimacy and excess, artifice and nature, digital matter and living contact, this book is not an archive, it's a tide. You don't browse through it, you traverse it. The pages splash. The stories stick. You come out wet. GEMZ: WET invites you to stay there, wet, soaked, waiting for the next wave.
